Economically priced and available from stock, the PTI 750 Series are FM (Factory Mutual) certified for use in Class I, Division 1, Group A, B, C, and D, and Type 4X locations. Offering a 4-20 mA output, the LVDT Position Transmitters, which are loop powered, are ideal for valve position monitoring and other position measurement applications within power/gas plants, manufacturing facilities, rolling mills and other process industries.
Significant features of the PTI 750 series include:
- Highly reliable "contactless" operation ideal for position feedback on critical equipment such as primary control valves and natural gas throttle valves.
- Electronics are hermetically sealed against corrosive environments and adverse operating conditions such as vibration, shock and changing pressure levels.
- The two-wire loop powered configuration can be run through troughs or non-explosion proof conduit back to "safe" areas where compatible barriers are located.
Available in measurement ranges from one (1) to ten (10) inches, the PTI 750 Series provide exceptional system accuracy with nonlinearity of ±0.5% for all models. Operating from 10V DC to 36V DC input, the loop-powered, two-wire position transmitter offers loop resistance up to 800 ohm that minimizes the effect
of loop resistance changes on position indication. Operating temperature range is -20°F (-20°C) to +200°F (93°C).
Certified intrinsically safe when used with intrinsic safety barriers, installation generally involves installation of the sensor and its attendant wiring in the hazardous location with the intrinsically safe barrier and wiring from the barrier to power supplies, indicators and controllers in a non-hazardous or safe location.
