Position Transducers use Indres(R) inductive technology.

Press Release Summary:

TLC Series supports measuring lengths from 100 to 1000 mm. Output voltage is proportional to position of probe moving near, but not touching, 2 resistive tracks that are inductively coupled. Integrated ASIC provides linearization and filtering for resolution better than 0.01 mm. Rodless design, with ball coupling, accommodates side loads. Sensors operate at speeds to 10 msec with repeatability less than or equal to 0.01 mm.

New Non-Contacting Position Transducers Feature Indres(R) Technology

Southborough, MA -- Based on its proprietary Indres inductive
technology, Novotechnik U.S. has introduced its TLC Series of non-contacting position transducers. With this new technology, output voltage is proportional to the position of a probe moving near, but not touching, two resistive tracks that are inductively coupled. An integrated ASIC provides linearization and filtering to achieve optimum linear functions providing resolution better than 0.01 mm.

The TLC series supports measuring lengths from 100 up to 1000 mm
and features a rodless design with a ball coupling to accommodate
side loads. The sensor series provides long life with greater than 100 million operations at operating speeds up to 10 msec. Repeatability is less than or equal to 0.01 mm.

Designed for control and measurement applications, the TLC is
immune to EMI. The TLC series combines robust mechanical design
with Indres technology to support operations even under harsh
environmental conditions.
