IRVINE, CA -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., is offering retailers a significant breakthrough in the battle against inventory shrinkage with the introduction of its Toshiba Surveillix® Point-of-Sale (POS) software featuring video text overlay for real-time transaction viewing.
Integrating seamlessly with Toshiba Surveillix digital video recorders, the new software provides retailers with needed control over mission critical point-of-sales security applications. From advanced search to controllable alert features, the software has the advanced functionality to achieve a more robust and reliable system. With just a few simple clicks, the user has immediate access to all necessary transaction and video information. Advanced Event Search lets users analyze specific transactions types, items, and dates and times, all made easier by a on-screen highlighting feature. Users can also export video containing overlaid POS transactions via JPEG or AVI video format.
The software's Advanced Setup mode makes it ideal for virtually any retail environment. POS display fonts are easily customized with alternate types, colors and sizes for normal and alert displays to ensure easy readability. Furthermore, the use of customized alerts notify users when specific items are purchased, allowing users to keep track of their sales.
Toshiba Surveillix POS software supports multiple cash register protocols and text inserters including TEC, AVE, VTI-series and HAT.
