Posiflex’s fast growing XT Series boosted by new, powerful addition

Designed to meet the needs of the retail and hospitality market, this new addition to the popular Posiflex XT family will be available in Q4 2015.

Building on the features of the best-selling XT-3815, the new XT-3817 is a quad core, fanless and fully adjustable POS terminal with the added advantage of a larger 17” screen and HD 1280 x 1024 resolution. Businesses will be able to take advantage of the powerful Intel Bay Trail quad core processor running up to 2.42GHz which enables quick transactions and minimal queuing time. The system memory holds up to 8GB RAM.
The 17” true flat PCT (projected capacitive touch) screen of the XT-3817 supports a multi-touch function of up to 10 points. In addition, the touchscreen is IP65 rated, making it splash proof and completely protected against dust ingress.
The fanless design allows the XT-3817 to operate effectively in harsh environments, such as a restaurant kitchen, without worrying about fan maintenance. It also means the POS terminal runs quietly, making it suitable for even the most high-end retail applications.
The XT-3817 comes with the option of two foldable, fully adjustable bases: the slim GEN7E base and the larger GEN8E base which has a built-in power unit and PoweredUSB ports. Both bases are US patented and enable users to adjust the screen to a height and angle of their choice, providing unparalleled flexibility. For example the ‘flat folded mode’ option allows the terminal to fit in the tightest of spaces; while ‘low profile mode’ enables greater interaction between operator and customer.
