NSB Group Delivers Leading-Edge POS Technology in Reduced Timeframes and Costs with StoreXpress
New Packaged Offering Launched at NRF Promises Streamlined Implementation and Faster ROI
MONTREAL, Jan. 16 / -- Today at the National Retail Federation Conference in New York, NSB Group launched StoreXpress, a combination of pre- configured Connected Retailer Store software, hardware, and peripherals, along with streamlined implementation services. Building on 30 years of experience in store solutions and retail best practices, StoreXpress is specifically designed for retailers who want to experience the benefits of today's leading- edge POS technology, but don't have the same time, resources, or budget available as many larger retailers.
"Our research indicates there is pent-up demand for migration to innovative solutions based on .NET technology," comments Stuart Mitchell, NSB's CFO and Senior Vice-President for the Store Business Unit. "With StoreXpress, we're making our advanced .NET POS available to all retailers."
In addition to a robust "best practices" POS transaction set, StoreXpress includes store management applications and a proven communications solution to facilitate information exchange between stores and head office. It also provides a variety of add-on options, including extensions to other Connected Retailer solutions, such as CRM and Sales Analytics, and add-on services.
"StoreXpress fits retailers that want the best POS technology to improve the entire customer experience," says Duncan Taylor, NSB's Director of Product Management, Store Business Unit. "Faster, worry-free implementations mean faster ROI. StoreXpress clients will have all of the same functional and technology benefits as those clients who opt for the traditional implementation approach. This equates to long-term value."
In late 2005, StoreXpress was selected as the solution of choice by Dallas-based Harold's Stores, Inc., which operates 41 upscale ladies' and men's specialty stores in 19 states. The Harold's implementation of StoreXpress was kicked off in December. The goal of the implementation project is to achieve a complete store rollout before October 2006. "We wanted a leading technology solution, but we also needed to control costs and minimize risk," says Brian Brunk, Harold's Director of MIS. "NSB's StoreXpress will allow us to meet those objectives and give us the future flexibility we desire."
Those retailers purchasing StoreXpress today will be using POS by summer and realizing profits from it soon thereafter. "Retail wants better POS," comments Mitchell. "StoreXpress delivers."
StoreXpress can be implemented as a stand-alone package or in conjunction with NSB's new EnterpriseXpress offering, a suite of packaged Connected Retailer solutions that includes Merchandising, Planning, Sales Analytics, and a streamlined implementation approach. Both EnterpriseXpress and StoreXpress enable retailers to implement well-equipped, proven systems quickly and cost effectively, and to achieve rapid ROI. Combined with the company's best-of- breed products and their hosted, Managed Services, the new Xpress lines now enable NSB to provide one of the industry's most complete retail technology offerings.
