Shenitech Introduce New Portable Non-Invasive Ultrasonic Flow Meter
Boston, April 28, 2008 - Shenitech today introduces a new model, STUF-300F1B, to its line of industry leading ultrasonic flowmeters. The STUF-300F1B is a non-intrusive wall-mount flowmeter that provides high accuracy, cost effectiveness, and reliable communication and networking capabilities.
The STUF-300F1B achieves accuracy as high as 1%, is applicable to most commonly used pipes, is easy-to-install and easy-to-use with a LCD and keypad, and has built-in and optional networking capabilities.
In the STUF-300F1B, Shenitech incorporates the latest digital signal processing, automatic signal quality tracking, ultrasonic transit-time measurement technologies, making the product capable of achieving 1% accuracy in most applications and 0.5% accuracy in some applications where in-situ calibration is available.
The clamp-on transducers can be easily mounted on the outside of a pipe with diameters ranging from 1" to 240" and with material such as plastics (PVC, HDPE, PTFE, etc.), carbon steel, carbon iron, copper, and others that are sonic-conducive.
Due to the utilization of high efficiency ultrasonic transmission and the latest low-power-consumption electronic technologies, the STUF-300F1B flow meter consumes about 1 Watt in normal operation mode. This allows the device to be used in solar-powered applications.
An optional GSM/GPRS module can also be added to the STUF-300F1B to further facilitate remote flow monitoring.
The flow meter comes with an IP65 weather-proof enclosure with a LCD and tactile-feedback keypad. The product is in mass production and is available for order and shipping now.
