Hours Battery Life and "On-Board" Charging
Now, the USN 58L, USN 58R, and USN 60 portable ultrasonic flaw detectors will run for at least 8 hours and the battery pack does not have to be removed to re-charge.
A New Lithium Ion battery pack is now standard with all USN Series instruments. The Lithium pack is contained in the same battery tray that is easily installed in the field via four
knurled screws. Note: Standard D-size batteries (NiMH, NiCD, & Alkaline) remain a convenient option and require a separate external charger.
The Lithium Ion battery charger also serves as an AC Power Supply. The Lithium Ion battery pack can also be charged externally if spares are needed for around the clock use.
