Digital Thermometer Display/Records Temperature Peaks and Valleys

Pyrometer Instrument Co., Inc. Northvale, NJ has developed a portable quality control digital thermometer that has a display/record function which holds for display on demand the minimum and maximum temperature units. This is useful for determining temperature fluctuations in a process over any given period of time. The instrument is housed in a rugged shock resistant cast aluminum enclosure that is ideal for hostile work environments.

The Pyro Model SDT141S temperature accuracy is +/- 0.3% of reading with large easy-to-read 1/2" High LCD Display reading in degrees C or F. The Display also incorporates 1/10 degree resolution to 999.9 F or C and 1 degree resolution to 2462degF /1350degC. The SDT141S-Digital Thermometer prime power is a standard 9 VDC battery.

There is a choice of several industrial extension arm styles for ease of operation. The operator can choose between the standard 12" long rigid extension arm or for hard to reach temperature measurements the flexible extension arm. This arm consists of a 12" long rigid arm with a rubber-cushioned handle and 30" of flexible interconnecting cable. Both types of extension arms incorporate a saw tooth adjustable angle near the end of the rigid arm that enables the operator to obtain up to a 90-degree angle on the thermocouple sensor. The rigid extension arm is constructed from 5/8" diameter chrome plated brass tubing and the flexible cable is 1/4" diameter stainless steel.

The Pyro Model SDT141S is available with a choice of sixteen different thermocouples for portable temperature measurement applications. Such as billets, molds, dies and sheet material in metal manufacturing and Calendar rolls in paper and laminating operations; Substrate measurement in semi-fluids such as plastic and rubber manufacturing; Press and platens in forming operations; in addition oven, kiln and Immersion temperature measurement applications.
