Portable Ohmmeter delivers filtered dc current of 10-200 A.

Press Release Summary:

Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter, Model DLRO200-115, features 4-terminal measurement technique that cancels resistance of test leads from measurement to ensure that unit accurately performs over range of 0.1 µohm to 1 ohm. Continuous, normal, and auto modes are selected from on-screen menu. Up to 300 sets of results may be stored in test set's on-board memory. RS232 port allows users to download test data to PC or output it directly to printer.

Portable, Reliable Megger DLRO200-115 Low Resistance Tester Offers Filtered Output and Easy-to-Use Features

Designed as a readily portable field test instrument, the versatile and robust Megger DLRO200-115 Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter delivers filtered d.c. current of between 10 and 200 amps. With its filtered output, the DLRO200-115 is particularly well-suited for testing the contact resistance on high voltage a.c. circuit breakers. The filtered output reduces ripple and thus prevents magnetic transients from being induced into the breaker's current transformer. Thus, risk of inductively tripping a breaker's control (bus differential relay) is non-existent.

In addition to circuit breakers, the versatility of the instrument delivers accurate test results on other high voltage apparatus, including: cables, cable joints, welds, bus bars and switchgear in general. Outside of the electrical utilities the DLRO200-115 further demonstrates its versatility with applications such as testing the quality of welded or soldered joints. Two examples of this are the integrity of welded rail track joints and soldered anode assemblies.

The unique design allows the weight and size of the test set to be kept to a minimum; the instrument weighs less than 32 lbs (14.5 kg). A four terminal measurement technique to cancel the resistance of the test leads from the measurement ensures that it performs with unsurpassing accuracy and reliability over a range of 0.1 µohm to 1ohm.

Smart and easy-to-use, the tester features three modes of operation - continuous, normal and auto - that are selected from an on-screen menu. The continuous mode is best suited for users who need to monitor a resistance over a period of time while the auto mode is more appropriate for jobs such as measuring individual joints in a busbar.

For user convenience, up to 300 sets of results may be automatically stored in the test set's on-board memory. An RS232 port allows users to download the test data to a PC or output it directly to a printer and an on-board alphanumeric keypad provides an expeditious and easy way for users to add notes.
