Portable Computer-Controlled Marking System Provides Depth and Speed
Auto Tech 2002. Mecco Marking & Traceability has introduced the MC2000 Super Fast marking system with an N34 marking head for applications that require deep marks that are legible after painting, and galvanizing. This stand-alone marking system includes a microprocessor control, keyboard and portable marking head.
Marking windows range from 72mm x 35mm to 200mm x 35mm. Alpha-numeric characters are created in 4mm to 25mm continuous dot patterns. Text is input from the keyboard, barcode reader or external RS-232 input. Equipped with a three-meter communication cable with noise production. Heavy-duty 9.1 meter cable is available.
The N34 marking head traverses on reinforced drive belts or high precision hardened drive screws. Weighing less than fifty pounds, the overall size of unit is 380 mm wide x 430mm high x 135mm deep. Stop-start controls are located in the handles for operator ease during the marking process. Unit requires 110V electric and 80PSI compressed air service.
