Overview
The IBM Portable 40GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive with Rescue and Recovery(TM) offers a complete image recovery solution for both ThinkPad® and ThinkCentre(TM)/NetVista(TM) users. Rescue and Recovery software helps protect against data loss in the event of a software or hardware failure by enabling recovery to a previously saved image. This bootable drive allows straight-forward recovery of your system image and data.
The drive incorporates a USB 2.0 interface for high-speed data transfers and is backward-compatible with USB 1.1 (at USB 1.1 transfer speeds). It offers a 40 GB capacity in a small, lightweight, and completely portable device without the need for an ac power adapter.
Driverless installation under Microsoft(TM) Windows(TM) 2000 and Windows XP makes this drive very easy to use, and facilitates file transfers between systems. The IBM Portable 40GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive also enables:
