Portable Floor Scale and Indicator System
RICE LAKE, Wis., January, 2002-Rice Lake Weighing Systems introduces the new DeckHand Rough-n-Ready System. This floor scale and indicator package begins with a 500 lb, 1,000 lb, or 2,000 lb mild steel DeckHand portable floor scale. Designed for one-person operation, the DeckHand features two large rubber wheels for smooth maneuvering. Unlike portable scales that rest on four wheels, the DeckHand's wheels touch the floor only when the scale is tilted back for movement, allowing the weighing platform to remain stable on uneven surfaces. The DeckHand also features two opposed, off-center load cells that deliver accurate weighments without the need for leveling feet.
This system is completed by an IQ plus(R) 590-DC portable weight indicator. Designed for industrial environments, this rugged indicator is encased in NEMA 4X/IP66-rated stainless steel and features a large, six-digit LCD that's easy to read. Six C-cell batteries provide power for up to 300 hours, while a configurable standby mode prolongs battery life. Value-added features include a full numeric keypad and counting by variable sample sizes or average piece weight (APW) entry.
