T-VAL Portable Field Calibrator
Electronic Development Labs, introduces the T-VAL, small portable field calibrator that simplifies onsite calibration of most immersion or insertion sensors. The small, compact design gives this system unparalleled portability and enables onsite calibrations to be performed without the removal or disconnection of sensor cables and harnesses.
All hot zone components are constructed of Stainless Steel, which helps reduce the potential for corrosion, which in turn, improves the service life of the hot zone. All internal wiring is rated for continuous use at greater than 250°C and all internal insulation is rated for use at 1000°C. The standard hot zone accommodates 0.250" (6.35mm) diameter sensors and has an insertion depth of 2" (50.8mm). The control unit is in a watertight "O" ring sealed case with a 6' long connecting lead. The temperature equalization block is uniformly heated and controlled at the optimum location in respect to the sensor under test.
T-VAL uses a high quality controller to consistently control and maintain its high accuracy. The advanced technology features a very stable temperature control with a "smart logic" PID loop. The two-line display allows one to see the set temperature along with the actual reading temperature at all times.
All of the hot zone components in the T-VAL are constructed from 304 Stainless Steel. The cable is abrasion resistant and rated for temperatures of 250°C. The control case is high impact injection molded polymer with an "O" ring sealed lid. The panel is powder coated for durability and long life. The internal power relay is overrated for cooler operation and longer lifetimes.
