Grant Squirrel Dataloggers Are Your Standalone Solution
CHESTERLAND OH — Users who need to monitor environmental temperature conditions need a portable recorder, but as always, accuracy and affordability are important considerations for any business or organization. For these applications CAS DataLoggers and Grant offer the Squirrel Universal Portable Data Logger, a popular standalone solution which features universal analog inputs for connection to a wide variety of sensors including thermistors, thermocouples (types B, C, D), RTDs, voltage/current, resistance, and digital inputs. These models also include a fully-configurable large graphical LCD display to comprise the ideal out-of-the-box solution.
Our Squirrel data loggers are portable data collection systems compatible with various configurations of thermocouple sensors, for example to measure water temperatures at wells, rivers, etc. as well as the ambient temperature. Each of these data loggers features twin processors, 8 differential (16 single-ended) analog inputs, and 8 digital event inputs and up to 16 derived/calculated channels and 4 pulse rate/counter inputs. 4 alarm/relay outputs immediately notify users when any monitored value suddenly goes out of specification. Multiple 24-bit ADCs enable high-precision measurements so accuracy is never an issue.
Users can choose to configure the loggers either through the built-in interface or via PC. The loggers also offer USB and RS232 connectivity, and onboard RS232 communications features can be connected to a PSTN or GSM modem. SQ2020 data loggers can store up to 14 million points of internal data storage and utilize a removable MMC/SD card.
Designed for logging data in the field--where compact design and stand-alone operation are a must—these handheld data loggers are famous for their light weight but durable dependability. The datalogger can be powered from its internal cells or by an external power supply connection.
Users can rely on the Squirrel’s clear graphical LCD screen for user-friendly navigation and operation, all fully configurable via the integrated 4-button keypad. Even in the field, users can access the datalogger's core functionality without having to bring along a PC or laptop. A high-speed model and a WiFi wireless logger version are also available for more demanding and remote projects. Additionally, each data logger within the Squirrel range is protected by a 3-year warranty.
Grant Squirrel dataloggers also include FREE SquirrelView setup and download PC software. This intuitive interface is similar to spreadsheets allowing users to quickly configure the Squirrel, download all its data and directly export the data to a PC application such as Microsoft Excel™. The optional SquirrelView Plus software offers users advanced features such as graphical data analysis and improved reporting options.
