Lincoln Electric Introduces New Portable AC Welder/Generator

Bulldog(TM) 140 ideal for light industrial and home applications

Cleveland - Lincoln Electric has introduced the new Bulldog(TM) 140 portable welder/generator for homeowners, farmers, ranchers and small contractors who require welding and AC generator power in one portable unit.

The Bulldog 140 is designed exclusively for AC stick welding. It provides up to 140 amps of AC welding output for arc welding on steel, stainless steel, cast iron and hardfacing projects with up to 1/8" stick electrodes, such as Lincoln's 7018AC (AWS E7018) and Fleetweld® 180 (AWS E6011). It also includes a single, full-range calibrated welding control to dial in the ideal amperage for each project. The dial includes operating ranges for 3/32" and 1/8" electrodes.

The unit delivers up to 16.7 amps continuous power from a 240V AC receptacle and up to 33.3 amps continuous power from a 120V AC duplex receptacle. Its 5,500 watts surge (4,000 watts continuous) AC generator can power grinders, work lights, pumps, and can be used for motor starting or standby emergency power. Additionally, a Lincoln Electric POWER MIG® 140C or 180C compact MIG welder can be easily powered by the Bulldog(TM) when an application calls for wire welding.

The Bulldog(TM) 140 comes equipped with the industry's largest-in-its-class 1/4" diameter tube frame for sturdy protection. This is matched with Lincoln's exclusive Low-Lift(TM) grab bars for easier lifting on and off truck beds.

The unit features a Subaru® 10 HP Model EX30 OHC (overhead cam) gasoline engine with one-pull starting, a cast iron cylinder liner for long engine life, automatic shutdown for low oil level and a three-year engine warranty. This easy-to-maintain engine requires an oil change only every 100 hours with no oil filter to replace. The Bulldog 140 has a 6.8-gallon fuel tank, which allows for extended run times, less frequent refueling and a large fuel fill opening.
