PolySorb® Prevents Lens Fogging on Optical Equipment

Multisorb to exhibit sorbent solutions at SPIE Defense, Security and Sensing

Buffalo, New York - Multisorb Technologies announced today they will be exhibiting at SPIE's 2012 Defense, Security and Sensing in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 23-27, 2012. The event is the industry's leading conference for scientists and engineers from industry, military, government agencies, and academia throughout the world. Multisorb will highlight sorbent solutions for protecting sensitive optics from contamination associated with moisture and organics.

Optical equipment is highly susceptible to contamination from outgassing materials. In a sealed environment, the outgassed vapors can cause clouding of the optics. In addition they may react with other materials causing compatibility problems or corrosion, resulting in product failure. Increased temperatures can impact the rate of outgassing and reactivity. Fortunately, Multisorb provides a Built-In solution to combat the effects of outgassing.

Multisorb's solution is PolySorb®, a highly advanced sorbent loaded thermoplastic technology. Multisorb will mold Polysorb® into a structural component within your product. Components made from PolySorb® are the ideal solution for optical equipment that lacks available interior space to add a traditional sorbent.

Visit Multisorb at the Baltimore Convention Center, booth 1122, to learn more about PolySorb® as well as other sorbent solutions to manage oxygen, moisture, or other volatile contaminants.
