Ondrives Drylin® Sliding Bearings

Drylin® sliding bearings are maintenance free linear bearings in complete housings supplied by Ondrives Ltd via their mechanical drive components catalogue.

These units are simple linear assemblies designed to replace the need to connect two or more complex and expensive components via the otherwise obligatory aluminium adapter. This permits considerable savings in costs, the company states.

The housings in which the high-performance polymer bearings are directly installed correspond to the conventional housings for recirculating ball bushes in terms of their external and connecting dimensions and can thus be directly inter-changed.

The range currently consists of two types of housing which are most frequently used in linear applications. Other types or dimensions are available on request, please contact our sales department for more details.

Like the adapters, the Drylin® standard housings are designed with a bearing clearance of 2/100 to 9/100. They can also be provided with other bearing clearances on request. Both closed and open configurations are available in the series.
