White Poly Labels Provide Durability and Versatility for Bar-coding and Component Marking
Harrisburg, PA - Nov. 29, 2004 - Tyco Electronics, a business segment of Tyco International, Ltd., recently introduced white polyester (WP) labels. WP labels are specially designed for bar-coding and component marking. The product uses a thermal transfer, printable, white polyester film with a permanent acrylic adhesive back. While WP labels are a good selection for general-purpose use, they excel in bar-coding applications where durability and print quality are important. Specifically, WP labels can be used to label printed circuit boards, electrical systems, motors, and electronic components like integrated circuits, processors, and memory chips.
White polyester labels are resistant to common solvents and fluids used in PCB processing and when used in conjunction with Tyco Electronics' RHD series thermal transfer printer ribbon and printer, offer print performance and durability that is guaranteed to MIL-STD-202F Method 215J.Over fifty standard WP label sizes and configurations are available and the product is rated for a nominal shelf life of up to two years. WP labels can be printed with Tyco Electronics' T200 and T300series printers. Tyco Electronics' thermal transfer ribbons are also available.
