Cambium Networks' PTP 800/800i Solutions Now Include IPv6/IPv4 Interface

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. -- Cambium Networks(TM), a global leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, today announced a software upgrade to its PTP 800 platform to support dual stack IPv6/IPv4 management in both the PTP 800 Split-Mount and PTP 800i All-indoor systems. This new capability enables a flexible strategy for network operators to deliver innovative platforms and services that benefit from the technical potentials of IPv6, while ensuring a graceful transition from legacy IPv4 architecture.
The PTP 800 Split-Mount systems deliver up to 368 Mbps (full duplex) throughput with user-configurable channel bandwidths from 7 to 56 MHz. The PTP 800i All-Indoor systems deliver up to 236 Mbps (full duplex) over configurable channel bandwidths from 10 to 40 MHz. Both solutions operate in IP-based, licensed microwave frequencies (6 - 38 GHz for PTP 800 and 6 - 11 GHz for PTP 800i), and are designed for use by public safety agencies, government entities, enterprises, carriers and Internet service providers. The solutions are ideal for multi-service networks that need high capacity, reliability and security. With the PTP 800's new ability to support IPv6/IPv4 in three modes, IPv6 only, IPv4 only and dual IPv4/IPv6, the management agent can now facilitate the IPv6 features that ease interoperability between devices within a network and improve security and integrity of the data.
