Pneutorque PT52 is Fast, Accurate Pneumatic Torque Wrench
Willoughby, OH - Norbar Torque Tools, Inc. introduces the Model PT52 Pneutorque pneumatic torque wrench. The new PT52, with its compact 2" (52 mm) diameter gearbox and totally new air motor design, is engineered to be an especially fast, lightweight tool with smooth, continuous operation at low sound and vibration levels. Its small gearbox and ergonomics also permit easy access to bolts.
The PT52 offers two torque capacities: 205 lb./ft (1,000 N.m) with a maximum speed of 125 r.p.m. or 123 lb./ft (600 N.m) with a maximum speed of 200 r.p.m. There are also two torque control methods: stall and electronic shutoff. The basic stall tool employs inlet air pressure to control torque.
Each stall tool is supplied with an air pressure versus torque graph by which to set specific torque values. The electronic shutoff version includes a torque transducer, torque display and internal solenoid valve. The desired torque tolerance is set on the tool and once the lower limit is achieved, the valve cuts the air supply. The actual torque delivered to the joint is displayed on the tool. Weight is just 8.4 lb. (3.8 kg) for single direction and 8.8 lb. (4.0 kg) for bi-directional versions. Typical Applications include valve and pipe work, maintenance and assembly of aerospace, off-road machinery and truck/bus wheel bolting.
