Pneumatic Rotary Actuators offer 270° and 360° turning.

Press Release Summary:

Employing vane-type principle, RAN Series offers multiple front and side mount options, protective inner surface finish, formed seals, and oil-infused metal bearings. Non-lubricated product is offered in 5 sizes with torques from 0.16-7 Nm and 270° max turning. Available with single and double shafts, RAP Series rack and pinion type employs double-rack operating principle, which achieves backlash-free, non-leak design. It is suited for when 360° swing is required.

Rexroth Announces Two New Series of Pneumatic Rotary Actuators

Company to display its RAN and RAP Series actuators at the 2003 Assembly Technology Exposition, September 23-25, 2003, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago, Booth #s 18005 and 18017.

The Rexroth RAN Series and RAP Series of pneumatic rotary actuators provide highly compact, space-saving designs.

Employing a vane-type principle, the RAN Series offers high torque within a small dimension, plus multiple front and side mount options for greater flexibility. Other features include a protective inner surface finish, formed seals and oil-infused metal bearings, producing a long-life, non-lubricated product. The RAN Series comprises five sizes with torques ranging from 0.16 Nm to 7 Nm and a maximum turning of 270 degrees.

If a 360-degree swing is required, the rack and pinion type, or RAP Series, is recommended. Its double-rack operating principle achieves a backlash-free, non-leak design. The RAP Series is available with single and double shafts and all stainless steel for severe environments.

With optional sensors both actuators can be used in a wide spectrum of applications, including workstations in small handling facilities.
