AirMist Pneumatic Atomizing Nozzles with Solenoid



Lechler, Inc. has expanded its AirMist pneumatic atomizing nozzle line by introducing the Series 166, an assembly which consists of a solenoid coil attached to an AirMist nozzle. The solenoid electronically activates the nozzle through operation of a needle valve which opens the liquid passage of the nozzle to allow it to operate and closes it down to shut off flow. Because this operation is instantaneous and not dependent upon the distance the air control is from the nozzle, the Series 166 unit cycles faster than the Series 136 AirMist does when a pneumatic valve is attached to it. Unlike the pneumatic valve which requires an additional pilot air signal to open the needle valve for spraying, the Series 166 unit necessitates no additional air input, making it more appropriate if metered air supply is limited. There is a comparable Series 166 model for each Series 136 AirMist so performance between corresponding nozzles of the two series would be the same. Thus the Series 166 model provides all of the advantages that the standard Series 136 AirMist offers to create a fine mist for humidification, cooling, or coating.
