Triplex Reciprocating Desalination and Process Pumps
CAT PUMPS R-Series reciprocating triplex plunger pumps offer corrosion resistance, energy-efficiency and low-maintenance. Four new large capacity models are available with flows up to 320 GPM and pressures up to 2700 PSI. These plunger pumps have been designed specifically for demanding Reverse Osmosis desalination [SWRO] and process applications with Duplex Stainless Steel heads, special V-Packing design and concentric solid ceramic plungers. No Packing adjustment is required. Bare shaft pumps or custom engineered Power Units are available.
Features
o The standard liquid-end construction is Duplex stainless steel at the price of 316SS providing extensive liquid compatibility and long service life.
o The crankcase is of SG cast-iron [spheroidal graphite] offering strength, vibration dampening and flame/spark resistance for durability and added protection in hazardous environments.
o Special blend packings are housed inside a Packing Cylinder to assure proper alignment and optimum service life. Easy access from the top of the pump permits servicing without removing the head or plumbing and easy in-field ram [plunger] replacement. These 150 Frame models feature self-lubricating chevron packings that require no packing adjustment.
o Special flushing ports allow cooling or flushing the LPS. Ideal for containment of
environmentally unsatisfactory liquids.
