Jefferson Tool, LLC Introduces the First Nail Extracting Pliers:"The Extractor"

Charleston, SC - March 2005 -Jefferson Tool, LLC has introduced a pair of extracting pliers that will benefit the construction, carpentry, remodeling and do-it-yourself industries. The tool addresses the problems associated with the removal of exposed nails and fasteners encountered during building, remodeling, repair and salvage projects.

The simple, but effective, design delivers slip-free extraction. The tool's self-locking jaws automatically increase gripping force as greater resistance is encountered. Once the extraction has been initiated only a prying action is necessary; the handles no longer need to be squeezed. In addition, the jaws stay parallel allowing for even gripping pressure to be applied regardless of the fasteners length, diameter or condition, no matter were contact is made between the jaws. The large rocking-heel bottom jaw allows long fasteners to be extracted in a single motion with little or no damage to the surface.

The inventor, Jeff Wagner has over twenty-three years in the carpentry trade. He experienced the lack of a reliable and effective removal solution first hand. The use of front-end nippers, claw hammers, and other grippers usually result in the snapping and sheering of the nails. And with the increasing use of pneumatic nails and staples in the construction industry, efficient removal of these fasteners has become nearly impossible. Frustrated he developed "The Extractor".

The tool is constructed from forged, chrome-nickel alloy with serrated teeth induction hardened to HRC 53-56 and solid pressed-rivet construction provides maximum durability. A black phosphate coating prevents rust and corrosion, and the long, non-slip cushioned handles offer a better grip with more comfort and increased leverage.

Available for wholesale distribution, "The Extractor" comes packaged in a half clamshell blister pack in cases of 24 units and is ready for individual retail display and sale.
