A line of spirally cut plastic wrap that features high visibility and provides a distinctive feel to signal an exit stairway or some other area is available from M.M. Newman Corporation of Marblehead, Massachusetts.
Heli-Tube® Spirally Cut Plastic Wrap applies like tape over stair railings, vertical posts, hoses, and electrical wiring to provide a distinctive feel or visual marking. Featuring safety orange, bright yellow, and 'glow in the dark' colors, in-plant applications include marking exit posts and stairway railings with a type of signage that workers can see and feel.
Unaffected by fresh- and salt water, Heli-Tube® Spirally Cut Plastic Wrap can be used on work boats and at construction sites for abrasion protection on hoses and power cords as well as making them highly visible to prevent tripping and falling. It can also be stretched between posts or around equipment during maintenance operations as a temporary safety boundary.
