New Series 40 Valves Introduced By Peter Paul

Peter Paul's new Series 40 valve brings pioneering to its product line: An all-plastic sleeve which requires no welding. This unique design uses the bobbin core as the sleeve, greatly simplifying its manufacture and providing a low cost, high quality, integral sleeve/bobbin injection molded part.

The complete valve was designed to utilize every available automation advantage, and the finished assembly is "over molded" with electrically and thermally superior Dupont® Rynite®. This rugged thermoplastic is strong enough to allow a mounting bracket to be incorporated into it at this stage.

For users who want a sleeker, in-line mounting or choose to use the bottom mounting holes which are on all valve bodies, a bracketless version is also available.

For manifold-style applications, Peter Paul will provide the details of the valve cavity and mounting requirements which allow the Series 40 to be utilized as a Valve Operator.

The plastic sleeve is enormously strong. Once the coil is completed, it is capable of surviving a 2000 psi hydrostatic test, and the Peter Paul 300 psi maximum pressure rating easily exceeds UL's requirement of a five times safety factor.

The stronger AC version exceeds the standard pressure ratings of the Series 20 (2WNC), at only 3.3 watts. It is available in all standard voltages and is ideally suited for 24 VAC transformer power. Peter Paul provides full porting options for the 3-Way version.

Further ahead is a food grade version. These stylish valves are ideal for a variety of pneumatic applications. In addition, the Delrin® valve body and Rynite® sleeve are compatible with a wide range of fluids.
