Plastic Couplings meet military specs.

Press Release Summary:

Cam-Operated Couplings are made from nylon or polypropylene, resist corrosion, and prevent mating threads from seizing. They are electrically non-conductive; resist most hydrocarbons, solvents, mild acids, and agricultural chemicals; and are made to MIL-C-27487 dimensions. Couplings are available in A, B, C, D, E, F, DP, and DC styles. Sizes for nylon version are 1/4 to 4 in.; polypropylene is 1/2 to 3 in. Metric BSPT threads or PVDF material are available.

Durable Cam-Operated Couplings Provide Corrosion Resistance & Light Weight

Offered in Two Plastic Materials

Southampton, PA - Immediately available from NewAge® Industries, Inc. are CAM-OPERATED COUPLINGS manufactured for high-impact strength at much lighter weight than their metal counterparts. These couplings are used in industries such as chemical, agriculture, material handling, maintenance, waste handling, and for general industrial uses.

NewAge's CAM-OPERATED COUPLINGS are easier to handle than metal versions because of their lighter-weight nylon or polypropylene materials. Both types offer corrosion resistance and prevent threads from seizing on mating threads. They are electrically non-conductive; resistant to most hydrocarbons, solvents, mild acids, and agricultural chemicals; and are made to MIL-C-27487 dimensions. Because of their construction materials, these couplings are less likely to cause damage, such as dents, scratches, and scuff marks, to other equipment.

The nylon version of NewAge's CAM-OPERATED COUPLINGS, called Nuglass, is manufactured from glass-fiber-reinforced nylon with an EPDM gasket and 302 stainless steel handles and pins. Nuglass provides a temperature range of -30°F (-34°C) to 200°F (93°C) and working pressures from 50-175 psi, depending on size.

Propoglass, constructed of glass-fiber-reinforced polypropylene, EPDM, and stainless steel, offers properties similar to Nuglass although it is even more resistant to acids. Propoglass's temperature use ranges from 10°F (-12°C) to 180°F (82°C), with pressures ranging from 75-125 psi, depending on size.

CAM-OPERATED COUPLINGS are available in eight standard styles: types A, B, C, D, E, F, DP, and DC. Sizes for the nylon version range from 1/4" through 4", and for polypropylene, 1/2" through 3". Metric (BSPT) threads or PVDF material are available through minimum order.
