Original Press Release:

Transfer Small Food Items Efficiently with Dorner's New 7400 1.5- and 2.5-Inch Diameter Nose Bar Option

HARTLAND, Wis., (June 20, 2005) - The ability to transfer small food items and ingredients smoothly and efficiently on conveyors is critical to customers in food manufacturing industries.

Dorner's new 7400 Series sanitary conveyors with a 1.5-inch diameter nose bar transfer option are the perfect conveying solution. That's because the nose bar transfer option on these plastic-chain conveyors eliminates the gap or valley formed by conveyors with larger diameter pulleys, enabling customers to transfer small food items and ingredients from the conveyor without getting caught in the gap or valley.

The 7400 Series nose bar transfer option still allows customers to easily disassemble the conveyor for cleaning, and both ends of the conveyor can be configured with the nose bar transfer option.

The latest in the popular AquaPruf family of sanitary conveyors, the 7400 Series comes in either traditional straight length or curve design, which has a 2.5-inch diameter nose transfer.

Even with the 1.5- and 2.5-inch diameter nose bar transfer option, these 7400 Series conveyors still offer all the features and benefits customers have been asking for in a sanitary conveyor line such as:

o Engineered specifically for wash-down and sanitary environments

o Cleans up twice as fast as competing conveyors

o Continuous TIG welded stainless steel frame - eliminating the need for fasteners

o Tool-less tip up pulley option allows conveyor end to be easily lifted without tools for convenient sanitation

o Solid UHMW wear strips easily lift out of the frame without tools

o No horizontal surfaces or lap joints

o Bearings are 400 series stainless steel, filled with H1 FDA lubricant and mounted in cast stainless steel housings

o Belt widths between six inches and six feet

o Belt lengths between three and 99 feet

o Belt speeds up to 200 feet per minute
