Deco Lighting Introduces Plasma Technology Street Light
Deco Lighting introduces the DP400 Plasma Street Light featuring revolutionary new LEP (Light Emitting Plasma) technology. Provides powerful, clean white light, 50% or more energy savings versus HID lighting, efficiency as high as 115 lumens per watt at the source, 50,000 hour life, excellent color up to 95 CRI, and dimming capability to 20%. Digital compatibility with intelligent lighting network systems for remote monitoring, diagnostics, and programmable dimming and switching control. The DP400 Plasma luminaire is ideal for new and retrofit street and roadway lighting, parking lots, airports, ports and outdoor areas requiring high light levels.
Plasma is a solid state high intensity lighting technology that utilizes a single, very small electrodeless lamp and electronic power driver. The driver generates high RF (radio frequency) energy to create a plasma light source with 23,000 lumens of brilliant white light. This powerful output far exceeds LED fixtures that require many LEDs in a single housing. Due to the miniature lamp size, Plasma luminaires are much smaller in size with more efficient optical designs than any HID cobrahead, floodlight or architectural area fixture.
Featuring a high tech aerodynamic design, the DP400 Plasma Street Light measures only 16 in. wide, 23.6 in. long and 6.4 in. tall. Supplied with a 280 watt Plasma lamp that produces light levels equivalent to HID lamps up to 400 watts. Dimming option provides instantaneous stepless lighting adjustment from 100% to 20%. Precision die-formed high efficiency specular aluminum reflector is available for Type II, III, IV and V distributions. and field-rotatable 90 degrees. The DP400 is designed and built for durability, ease of installation and maintenance.
Clear high transmission tempered glass lens is fully gasketed, and external lamp access protects optical chamber from moisture and contaminants. Heavy gauge die-cast aluminum housing features integral heatsinks for efficient heat dissipation, hinged door frame and stainless steel captive fasteners. Weather resistant natural aluminum and marine grade polyester powder coat finishes available in silver, white, black, dark bronze and custom colors. Supplied with extruded aluminum bolt-on arm and galvanized steel hardware for pole mounting.
