Hypertherm Introduces Powermax1650 - The Most Powerful G3 Plasma Cutting System Ever

Hanover, NH, USA -The new Powermaxl650® from Hypertherm, Inc. delivers superior power and performance in a proven technology. Like the two Hypertherm G3 (third generation) systems previously released, the Powermax1650 promises greater speed, longer parts life and lower overall operating costs in heavy metal applications.

Maximum cut capacity for the newly released system is 1-1/2 inches (38 mm). It delivers gouging capabilities at a rate in excess of 22 lbs. per hour. Increased cut quality and efficiency are assured through 100-amp/16-kilowatt output.

The Powermax1650 incorporates Hypertherm's patented G3 technological advances. Auto-voltage(TM) input sensing allows operation from 200 to 600 volts, 3-phase with no rewiring. Boost Conditioner(TM) circuitry compensates for any voltage variation with a digitally-controlled converter that delivers adjustable constant current output from 30 to 100 amps. ETR(TM) (Easy Torch Removal) allows the operator easy switching between hand and machine torches.

New product announcement ads running in metal cutting journals underscore the fact that G3 systems are "Engineered to exceed your expectations." Whether used as a portable unit or incorporated into a mechanized metal cutting solution, the Powermax1650 delivers more power and performance than any other plasma arc cutting system in its class. The Powermax1650 is available for shipping now.
