Original Press Release:

Aviator(R) XLT Plasma Shape Cutting System Designed As Versatile Value

St. Louis - May 15, 2002- Brains, brawn, speed and versatility make the Aviator® XLT the perfect profile cutting solution for any job shop or manufacturer with shape cutting value as a priority.

For brains and speed, C&G Systems(TM) incorporates a Burny(TM) 1250 Plus microprocessor CNC control to provide precision motion control for both high-speed plasma and oxy-fuel cutting. It's a proven performer for precision cutting of 12ga. steel at 250 IPM (6.3M/min.) or 1/4" stainless at 100 IPM (2.54 M/min.). The easy-to-learn FastCAM® CAD/CAM automatic nesting software is included with the Aviator XLT to provide everything needed to process CNC files.

Brawn and versatility are represented in the Aviator XLT with available plasma systems from 60 amps to 150 amps to cut thin gage sheet metal to 3/4" plate (19mm). The Pak Master 150XL(TM) is the plasma cutting system of choice for general mild steel cutting while the Merlin® 1000 may be selected to deliver premium performance on steel and non-ferrous alloys. For heavy-duty steel cutting, one or two motorized oxy-fuel stations may be added. The system may also be fitted with a pneumatic air scribe for engraving bend lines or part numbers on the plate.

The Aviator XLT's heavy-duty, welded tubular steel frame supports a unitized 72" x 144" cutting table. Either down draft air exhaust or water table designs may be selected. The down draft table is recommended for plasma cutting up to 3/8" thick while the water table design is best for high production, heavy-duty plasma cutting and oxy-fuel cutting to 2" thick. A unitized table extension may be added to either table design.
