New Precipitator Control, Monitoring/Reporting, and Optimization Software System

Willoughby, OH - The new Precipitator Optimization System Version 8.0 (POS 8) from Neundorfer Inc. allows utilities and industrial plants to gain more control for their electrostatic precipitators (ESP), improve overall plant efficiency, reduce operating costs, reduce energy consumption and reduce emissions.

POS 8 features a significantly improved user interface, easier-to-use and more detailed data gathering, reporting and analysis tools, and expanded functionality. This allows for more effective and more efficient system use, maximizes uptime and supports compliance reporting.

A simplified, icon-driven system plan view shows rappers and other components within a user-selected data and graphics scheme, for quick review and easy monitoring, saving time for users. Maintenance and data functions are accessed within a new Utilities tab, also saving time to access functions as well as simplifying and speeding troubleshooting efforts.

New control algorithms seamlessly and elegantly integrate components from multiple suppliers. For example, POS 8 readily works with high-frequency transformer/rectifier (T/R) sets from all major manufacturers for more flexible programming. Also, if a single T/R set is not working properly, the optimization program continues running while identifying and isolating the problem unit, further maximizing uptime while reducing emissions and maintaining regulatory compliance.

A multiple-user setting allows individuals to preset preferences for the type and amount of data displayed. Plant operations, engineering and maintenance personnel can each create user accounts to make their use of the system easier for their respective needs.

Like previous versions, each POS 8 software installation is pre-programmed to reflect actual plant needs and physical configuration. It is then tested with user input so it is ready for operation upon delivery. Neundorfer's on-site start-up and training services help users get maximum value from all the system's capabilities and features.
