Planetary Gearboxes mount directly to servomotors.
Press Release Summary:
GTM Planetary Gearboxes' range and modular construction make them suitable for use in factory automation applications. Taper bearings act as pumps, minimizing oil used in vertical, horizontal, or angled applications. Cold-fusion process between coupling and sun gear allows emergency stop torque for safety and reliability. GTM specifies 1,000 emergency stops before loss of accuracy.
Original Press Release:
Compact Planetary Gearboxes Ensure Precision, Reliability and Quiet Operation
Robust GTM Planetary Gearboxes from Bosch Rexroth provide precision motion over a broad range of applications. The unit's compact design ensures quiet operation, while its large taper bearings promote longevity and minimize oil usage.
The new GTM Planetary Gearboxes from Bosch Rexroth's Electric Drives and Controls division mount directly to servomotors for high precision applications. The unit's wide range and modular construction make it possible to use the Rexroth GTM in all factory automation applications.
The small internal cavity of the gearbox reduces noise so that the GTM is rated up to 10 dB lower than its nearest competitor. Compared with other gearboxes of the same size, the Rexroth GMT uses the largest taper bearing, allowing both higher radial and axial loads and promoting longer life.
These taper bearings act as a pump, minimizing the amount of oil used in vertical, horizontal or angled applications. As a result, the GTM generates less friction and heat, while reducing inventory.
The cold-fusion process between the coupling and sun gear allows high emergency stop torque for maximum safety and reliability. The Rexroth GTM specifies 1,000 emergency stops before loss of accuracy, compared with one stop for competitive products.
GTM Planetary Gearboxes can be fully integrated with Rexroth's complete line of motors and drives.
