Placon Announces New Stock Medical Trays


MADISON, WIS. (Oct 23, 2006) - Placon Corporation announces new stock medical tray product line. Placon's stock medical trays are made of clear recyclable APET material and are in stock for immediate orders.

Trays are available in four standard base sizes with a common snap-lid. Tray flange can also be heat sealed using Tyvek, paper or film lid. APET trays are ETO and Gamma sterilizable.

According to Lauren Foos, National Sales Manager - Medical, "Adding a stock medical line gives our customers the opportunity to order a stock tray and avoid the cost of tooling or they have the option, for a minimal tool cost, to customize the interior of the tray to fit their products. They also have flexibility in the choice of materials on custom runs including PETG, HIPS or PVC."

The company has also installed a new state of the art thermoforming machine in the newly completed ISO 8 level (Class 100,000) clean room dedicated to medical customers. Utilizing the latest technology in process control, this machine allows Placon to make precise parts with highly accurate tolerances and material distribution as required in the medical industry.
