Pitney Bowes to Exhibit Leading Mailstream Solutions at National Postal Forum 2006


STAMFORD, Conn., March 30 -- Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI), provider of the world's most advanced mailstream solutions, will exhibit leading edge mail and document solutions at the upcoming National Postal Forum in Orlando, Florida, to be held April 2-5, 2006.

At Booth #1418, Pitney Bowes Global Mailstream Solutions (GMS) will highlight mailstream products including the DM550(TM) Mailing System and the DM1000(TM) Mailing System, which will be interfaced in a demonstration with the DI950 Inserter. Other featured GMS products will include a range of addressing systems, such as the DA950, SmartMailer(TM) software and PB First(TM) software. Arrival(R) software, Package Manager and TMS, Pitney Bowes products that manage inbound and outbound letters and packages, will also be demonstrated. Pitney Bowes Global Mailing Solutions and Services will be featuring its PSI presort services.

Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies (PBDMT) will showcase an optimized mailstream workflow with solutions that demonstrate production intelligence for high-volume mailers. Attendees will see a personalized direct mail application with insert matching, scalable integrity, inline printing, and variable data messaging, processed by the FPS(TM) Flexible Productivity Series inserting system, then presorted by the Olympus(R) II Multi Tier sorter for a maximum postal discount. The application includes Group 1 Software's data quality, business geographics, document composition and postal efficiency solutions, and also features Emtex's robust output print management solution.

PBDMT is also launching an enhanced EFS(TM) Envelope Finishing System with the world's next-generation printing system that is fully-integrated to the FPS(TM) inserter. This new technology brings high definition text and graphics to variable envelope printing and increases operator productivity by performing self-maintenance during stoppages. The EFS(TM) system will also showcase new integrity enhancements that help improve postal compliance by inspecting each finished mail piece to validate mail piece ID and POSTNET(TM) readability.

Pitney Bowes Management Services will highlight its business recovery services and secure mail solutions, including a model of its negative pressure air room. The negative pressure air room is used to contain potential biohazards and related threats as mail is processed. The containment facility is an integral component of the secure mail solutions that Pitney Bowes offers government and commercial customers to help minimize risk to people and facilities.

In addition to exhibiting, Pitney Bowes senior executives will be leading educational sessions covering a range of mailstream management issues:

o Luis Jimenez, Senior Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer, will speak on "Understanding the Value of Mail in Multi-Channel Communication" in the CAL track in period 6;

o Don Archer, National Manager of Postal Education, will lead "Targeted Solutions for New and Veteran Mail Center Managers" in the MCM track in period 10;

o Ray Chin, Product Management Director, Global Coding Products, Group 1 Software, is a panel member of "The Expert's Corner - Improving Business Results Through Address Quality" in the Address Quality Symposium Session in period 6;

o Kevin Conti, Director, Move Update and Print Stream Solutions, Group 1 Software, will speak on "Maintain Contact with Your Customers on the Move" - in AAIM track in period 15;

o Jeff Stangle, Solution Design Consultant, will discuss "Return Mail: The Silent Thief" and "Six Sigma Addressing Practices" in the AAIM track, periods 1 and 6, respectively.
