New Pin Nailer Expands Porter-Cable's Pneumatic Line

FEBRUARY 8, 2002 - ATLANTA, GA - Porter-Cable introduced today its new 23-gauge pin nailer - the model PIN100 - during the International Builders' Show in Atlanta, Georgia. The introduction of this unit targets an entirely new market of sophisticated hobbyists and do-it-yourselfers for Porter-Cable. The PIN100, often used by professionals in cabinet shops, can also perform detailed woodworking applications, construct picture frames, install molding, decorative trim, and window beading.

Designed to minimize downtime, the magazine automatically adjusts to different fastener lengths for easier loading and a trouble-free operation. Compatible with Senco® and Accuset models, the PIN100 accepts 23-gauge pin nails ranging from 1/2" to 1" long. Its bottom load magazine holds up to 170 pin nails while the unit features a visual reload indicator. A dual trigger feature acts to ensure a safe operation while the unit is in use. Touting enough power to countersink 1" pin nails into oak, the model PIN100 features an ergonomic design with a comfortable rubber grip on the handle. Moreover, the unit offers a rear exhaust, which exits near the coupler to ensure that air is directed away from the work.

Like other Porter-Cable nailers and staplers, the model PIN100 is packaged in a plastic carrying case, 1/4" coupler with dust cap, a box of 2,000 pin nails, wrenches for maintenance, air tool oil, and an owner's manual. Available in late February 2002, this unit is expected to sell for approximately $155.
