Spence Announces Type ED208D Electronically Controlled Pilot-Operated Pressure Regulator
Spence Engineering Company, Inc., Walden, New York, announces our Type ED208D Pilot-Operated Pressure Regulator, with electronic startup. The ED208 Pilot-Operated Regulator consist of our balanced Type E pressure reducing valve, our Type D208 Electric Actuator Pilot with Electronic Time Controller and either a temperature or pressure pilot. The ED208D pressure reducing valve is ideal for building heating systems and district steam systems.
The ED208 pressure regulator provides controlled slow opening and/or controlled slow closing (shutdown) and pressure or temperature regulation. When used with a time-proportional controller, the ED208 Pilot will improve comfort by supplying ideal heat balance; increase energy efficiency and cost savings by shutting off steam when it is not required and controlling shutoff at a central location; and reduce maintenance cost by using its' automatic incremental warm-ups feature which permits steam traps to effectively remove startup condensate thus, minimizing water hammer.
