All that's required is a transmitter, a tracking sensor and standard retail batteries. Pipeline inspection transmitters have a wide size range from 2" pipe diameters up to 72". You simply install the transmitters inside the pig, launch the pig and await a signal from either pig tracking sensors or an optional wand. The transmitters are pressure and temperature resistant and water tight. Tracker sensors can be moved easily from location to location. The sensing units are self-contained and calibration is not required. Sensors are non intrusive and can be strapped to the pipe. The Pipeline Inspection pig detection system can also be part of a more elaborate set up where by they output to a recording device or actuating device.
