Piezoelectric Accelerometer offers TEDS capabilities.

Press Release Summary:

Model 66AXX miniature (5.5 g) tri-axial piezoelectric accelerometer offers integral hybrid electronics. TEDS capabilities provide digital ID communication that is IEEE P1451.4 compliant between dedicated signal conditioner and accelerometer. Accelerometer also offers annular shear sensing element, titanium package, and signal output via 4-pin receptacle. Model 66AXX is available in 66A50 (5 mV/g), 66A11 (10 mV/g), and 66A12 (100 mV/g) configurations.

Original Press Release:

Endevco's Model 66AXX is Smallest Tri-Axial Accelerometer to Feature TEDS Capabilities

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - July 1, 2002 - Endevco today introduced the Model 66AXX, a miniature (5.5 gm) tri-axial piezoelectric accelerometer that features integral hybrid electronics and TEDS capabilities. TEDS provides digital ID communication that is IEEE P1451.4 compliant between a dedicated signal conditioner and the accelerometer, resulting in a significant reduction in set-up time in multi-channel measurements. The Model 66AXX also features a low unit-to-unit phase deviation at low frequency, making it ideal for modal analysis.

The 66AXX utilizes an annular shear sensing element, providing excellent output sensitivity and stability over time. Endevco's 66AXX is designed to offer optimum resolution and frequency bandwidth in a miniature titanium package. Signal output is via a 4-pin receptacle. Three stand-alone, low noise, hybrid signal conditioners each operate in a two-wire system. Low impedance voltage outputs are connected to the same cable that supply the required constant current power. As an option, a factory installed outer case can be used for ground isolation.

The 66AXX is the world's smallest triaxial ISOTRON® accelerometer with TEDS capability. This triaxial ISOTRON accelerometer incorporates a Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) in each axis, which provides sensor and application specific information to the user.

The Model 66AXX is available in 66A50 (5 mV/g), 66A11 (10 mV/g) and 66A12 (100 mV/g) configurations. Endevco recommends its OASIS 2000 Computer-Controlled Sensor Interface or its standard ISOTRON conditioners; Model 133, 2792B or 2793.

Endevco is the world's leading designer and manufacturer of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock and pressure measurement.
