PIAB'S New Automatic Vacuum Management Option Saves Energy and Reduces Cycle Time for Non-Porous Material Handling Operations

Reduces air consumption by 90% when compared to continuously operating systems

Hingham, MA-PIAB, a global leader in industrial vacuum technology, introduces Automatic Vacuum Management (AVM(TM)) as an integrated control option for highly automated systems. This revolutionary new control option reduces air consumption by up to 90%, when compared to continuously operating systems. The AVM(TM)'s high capacity blow-off function makes it ideal for handling non-porous parts, such as glass and sheet metal, and is therefore ideal for a variety of robotic and automotive applications.

Featuring a vacuum sensing capability, the AVM instantly shuts off air consumption when the set vacuum level is reached. When the vacuum is released after a completed work cycle, the cycle time is reduced due to the fact that the pressure is quickly balanced by a high capacity blow-off function.

PIAB's AVM is offered as a complete package, including valves and vacuum switches. The AVM can be connected to PIAB's new P6010 vacuum pump without further controls or monitoring equipment, reducing system design time for manufacturers. Based upon the company's patented COAX® multi-stage ejector technology, PIAB's P6010 vacuum pump provides up to 40% more flow than conventional vacuum pumps.
