PESA Joins NewTek Developer Network, Launches New Router at NAB 2015

Huntsville, Alabama – PESA, a leading designer and manufacturer of streaming solutions as well as professional audio and video distribution products, will introduce the PESA Xstream R3232, a router produced for use with TriCaster multi-camera video production systems, at the 2015 NAB Show, which runs April 13-16 in Las Vegas, Nev. The 1 RU router will be demonstrated during the show in the PESA booth (SL4617) and as part of the NewTek Zone of the StudioXperience Technology Showcase (Booth SU621).

The R3232 offers 32 3G-SDI I/O, which significantly expands TriCaster’s access to video sources. NewTek has added native support for PESA’s P1N router control protocol to its TriCaster 8000, so users can control the new R3232 router from the TriCaster GUI. Plus, TriCaster’s three SDI outputs can be connected as sources through the R3232 and routed to multiple downstream devices.

PESA recently became a member of the NewTek Developer Network, which encourages companies to produce new products and workflows that create additional functionality for TriCaster and other NewTek product lines. During NAB, PESA will also provide a technology demonstration at its booth that integrates TriCaster with the PESA Xstream C22 compact streaming media appliance.

“NewTek is very pleased to have PESA, an industry leader in digital video routers, as one of the newest members in our Developer Network,” said Michael Kornet, executive vice president of Business Development for NewTek. “We’re excited that this new workflow solution will be showcased and demonstrated in this year’s StudioXperience at NAB.”

“PESA is delighted to become the latest member of the NewTek Developer Network,” added John Naylor, PESA vice president of global sales and distribution, streaming. “The R3232 adds our world class routing to NewTek’s world class production system. This initial integration is an important first step in our collaboration, and we have lots of ideas for what’s next.”

The R3232 has an MSRP of $4,995, including free configuration and control software, and will be available in April. The CP-832, an optional push button control panel for the R3232, will also be available for $995.
