Acro Announces New and Enhanced Version of Innovative Peroxide Explosive Tester

NEW YORK, May 16 -- Acro, Inc. (OTC BB:ACRI), a developer of explosive detection
solutions, today announced a new, powerful version of ACRO-P.E.T., the company's innovative, patented peroxide explosive tester. The new version enables easier verification of peroxide based explosives, such as Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP), and is easier to operate. In addition, Acro improved the sampling device that enables easy and immediate sampling of suspicious liquids in addition to all other forms of explosives, including powder. The new version will be available in the third quarter of 2007.

"Since its introduction in August 2006, ACRO-P.E.T. has attracted a lot of interest worldwide," said Acro Chairman and CEO Gadi Aner. "Today's announcement marks Acro's next step toward becoming a leading global provider of explosive detection systems."

"Based on feedback from field tests, the new version makes it easier for users to operate the pen-like tester with minimum training," said Professor Ehud Keinan, Acro's chief scientific consultant and the inventor of ACRO-P.E.T. "The new version is optimized to meet the growing needs of security professionals requiring ultra high-speed explosive detection at the venue."

Targeted for marketing primarily through channel partners, ACRO-P.E.T. can identify peroxide-based explosives, which may appear in a variety of shapes and forms, including liquid explosives. Peroxide-based explosives are very difficult to identify, since they do not contain nitro groups and are colorless.

ACRO-P.E.T. is designed to support the widest range of law enforcement and military operating environments, including airports, border control facilities, streets and battlefields, among others. It is a vital tool in the global war against terrorism.
