Permeation Tubes blend gas calibration standards.

Press Release Summary:

Used for analysis of hazardous air pollutants, Trace Source(TM) Permeation Tubes emit constant flow of vapor to dynamically blend low-pressure gas mixtures. Emission flow measurements are traceable to NIST through fundamental measurements such as weight change, and temperature. Concentration can be adjusted by adjusting dilution flow rate. Applications include formaldehyde, hydrazines, ethylene glycol, cresols, naphthalene, and 15 other compounds not available as cylinder mixtures.

Traceable Gas Standards for HAPs

Kin-Tek's new Trace Source(TM) Permeation Tubes are used to blend gas calibration standards needed for air analysis for many Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs). Over 80 HAPs are currently available in Trace Source(TM) tubes. Applications include formaldehyde, hydrazines, ethylene glycol, cresols, naphthalene, and 15 other compounds not available as 'cylinder' mixtures. A selection of tube types with varying emission rates are available.

Trace Source(TM) permeation tubes emit a constant flow of vapor that is used to dynamically blend low-pressure gas mixtures. Emission flow measurements are traceable to NIST through fundamental measurements (weight change, temperature, etc.). Mixing the emission flow with a traceable flow dilution gas creates a traceable mixture. Concentration can be adjusted by adjusting dilution flow rate.

FlexStream(TM) and AutoBlend(TM) Gas Standards Generators provide the controls required to blend adjustable concentration, traceable gas mixtures using Trace Source(TM) tubes.
