Permanent Magnets hold metal inserts in place.

Press Release Summary:

In SmCo (samarium cobalt), A4300/… permanent magnets can withstand temperatures up to 200°C on permanent basis and up to 300°C for short periods. There is no danger of losing magnetism or retention force, which also remains consistent, if used correctly. Available diameters include 6, 8 and 10 mm, and front side can be contoured by up to 2.5 mm to align it to metal insert. To concentrate magnetic force where needed, pill-shaped magnet is set in brass housing.

Original Press Release:

New Permanent Magnets A4300/... to Hold Metal Inserts in Place

When plastic is injected around metal inserts like a blade, permanent magnets in the mould can be used to hold the inserts securely in place, particularly when there is no other means of keeping them in position.

The new HASCO permanent magnets A4300/… are noted for their high resistance. The magnets in SmCo (samarium cobalt) have an especially strong magnetic retention force and can withstand temperatures of up to 200°C on a permanent basis and up to 300°C for short periods. If used correctly, there is no danger of the magnets losing their magnetism or retention force which is also consistent.

The retaining magnets are available in three different diameters (6, 8 and 10 mm) enabling positioning into particularly small spaces. Additionally, the front side of the magnet can be contoured by up to 2.5 mm to align it to the metal insert.

To concentrate the magnetic force at the point where it is needed, the pill-shaped magnet is set in a brass housing.
