Watson-Marlow Bredel Introduces Its Redesigned SPX32 Peristaltic Pump

Watson-Marlow Bredel, the leading manufacturer of peristaltic pumps, introduces its new SPX32 pump. The redesigned SPX32 offers a unique direct-coupled design providing the superior performance of a bare-shaft design in a compact direct-coupled pump. With its exceptional reliability and ease-of-use the new SPX32 is ideal for harsh environments.
Equipped with a leak zone to protect the drive, Watson-Marlow Bredel's redesigned SPX32 allows for the drive to be removed and replaced without dismantling the pump head. With its self-loading design the pump provides faster hose changing, resulting in minimal downtime. The pump's two-bearing rotor absorbs forces occurring within the pump, placing no load on the gear box bearings. With no coupling, alignment and heavy base plates, the new SPX32 requires less installation time and maintenance, resulting in a cost-effective industrial pumping solution.
Watson-Marlow's SPX32 and its advanced hose technology provide continuous operation with the ability to pump harsh materials dependably for a long period of time. Unlike other pump types, the highly abrasive nature of sludge, corrosive acids and gaseous chemicals do not affect the pump life of the SPX32 hose pump. Peristaltic pumps use only one wearing part: The hose. They are virtually maintenance free with no expensive seals to replace, no check valves to clog, and no rotors and stators to wear out.
In addition, the pump will never vapor lock when pumping gaseous chemicals. The combination of these features makes the SPX32 hose pump an enduring solution for tough pumping applications.
Every Watson-Marlow Bredel peristaltic pump is an inherent metering pump with repeatability at 99.5%. Many models include integral digital drives and displays in washdown enclosures. These self-priming pumps accommodate flow rates from 0.1 microliter to 350 gpm, and are extremely durable, withstanding pressures up to 232 psi. There are no internal universal joints, valves, dead corners, or glands to impede flow, and these pumps are reversible for back flushing lines. They can also run dry indefinitely without damage and provide up to a 30' suction lift.
