The system is engineered to meet the ANSI/SPRI, ES I-98 standard for Coping Wind Design Guide for Edge Systems Used with Low Slope Roofing Systems. This standard is approved and supported by the International Code Council (ICC) for the 2001 edition of the International Building Code (IBC). The ICC is made up of BOCA, ICBO and SBCCI, proving that this standard meets the most rigid of tests. As a result ATAS offers a premium coping system that protects a home or commercial building's roof edge from the elements.

From a design perspective, the combination of using ATAS Hylar5000®/ Kynar500® painted metal and the quality of this engineered system, one can create a cohesive look with superior function and complete the roofing system. This releases the designer/architect, in early phases from potential problems faced in designing and weatherproofing the roof of the building.
