Peregrine Semiconductor Named Finalist in Prestigious 2015 EE Times and EDN ACE Awards

Among the Industry's Elite, Peregrine Is Nominated in Two Categories--Marketing Team of the Year and Ultimate Products, Wireless/RF

SAN DIEGO – Peregrine Semiconductor Corp., founder of RF SOI (silicon on insulator) and pioneer of advanced RF solutions, announces it has been named a finalist in UBM Canon's EE Times and EDN Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards in two categories--marketing team of the year and ultimate products, wireless/RF. The ultimate products, wireless/RF nomination acknowledges the success of the UltraCMOS® PE42722 RF switch, a high-linearity switch that enables a dual upstream/downstream band architecture for DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 compliant devices.

"We are honored to be finalists in two categories in the 2015 EE Times and EDN ACE Awards," said Kinana Hussain, Peregrine's director of marketing. "Peregrine has introduced a number of innovative products over the last year, and our marketing team has rallied together to execute several creative and strategic campaigns that yielded phenomenal results. One such campaign was the launch of the UltraCMOS® PE42722 RF switch, a product that is a finalist for ultimate product in the wireless/RF category. This product, a first of its kind, has gained widespread interest in the cable industry for its exceptionally high linearity, which is essential to the rollout of the next-generation DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 compliant customer premise equipment (CPE) devices."

The EE Times and EDN ACE Awards celebrate the creators of technology who demonstrate leadership and innovation in the global industry and shape the world we live in. These creators, and their innovations, will be recognized at the EE Times and EDN ACE Awards ceremony on July 21, 2015, as part of the Embedded Systems Conference. The ACE Awards are presented in 23 categories and are judged by a blue-ribbon panel of industry experts, comprising the leading voices of academia, industry executives and content experts. The Ultimate Products of the Year Award--awarded to the most significant product introduced in the last 12 months in 12 categories--is determined by large-scale peer review. Finalists in each category are chosen by expert editors from both EE Times and EDN with accompanying editorial reviews.

"Congratulations and a sincere 'thank you' to all our award finalists for the inspiration you continue to provide to the electronics industry at large each and every day," said Suzanne Deffree executive editor, EDN. "Each year our awards program showcases the unique best-of-breed products and technologies, as well as companies and individuals that have influenced our industry. The 2015 finalists are leaders in terms of creativity and passion, as well as execution of the progressive thinking that has allowed electronic engineering to permeate almost every aspect of our day-to-day lives. It will be tough to pick those final winners but we look forward to announcing them at this year's ACE Awards during the Embedded Systems Conference!"
