Pelletizers replace Beringer water ring design.

Press Release Summary:

In-Line Water Ring Pelletizers utilize short, close coupled die plate which attaches to screen changer or extruder. This eliminates Beringer cross-head die and inlet adapter. Close-coupled die plate reduces polymer volume and operates at lower inlet pressures, allowing for increased throughput rates. Retracting pellet cooling chamber allows operator access to cutter and die plate for cleaning, die plate removal, and cutter blade changes.

Dynisco Introduces New In-Line Pelletizer

Hickory, NC (February 2003) - Dynisco, LLC announces the introduction of their new In-Line Water Ring Pelletizers. The new pelletizer series offers processors numerous value packed benefits and replaces the former Beringer water ring design, which utilized a 900 cross head with mandrel and inlet adapter. The new pelletizer will be featured at NPE 2003 (North Hall Booth #5526) this June in Chicago, IL. The new In-Line design utilizes a short, close coupled die plate which attaches directly to the screen changer or extruder; thereby, eliminating the previously required Beringer cross-head die and inlet adapter. "Polymer flow has been rheologically optimized ensuring uniform flow to each die plate hole resulting in a more consistent pellet geometry," stated Kevin Tuttle, Dynisco Director of Marketing. The close-coupled die plate reduces polymer volume and operates at lower inlet pressures, which allow for increased throughput rates. Color changes can be accomplished on-the-fly reducing downtime. A retracting pellet cooling chamber allows quick and easy operator access to the cutter and die plate for rapid cleaning, die plate removal, or cutter blade changes. Dynisco/Beringer's popular flex blade design provides consistent blade to die plate tension for accurate pellet cutting. An open trough conveying pellets from the cooling chamber to dryer allows operator access to view pellet production and ensure proper operation. Dynisco has also designed a new pellet dryer. "The new dryer design originated from customers requesting a dryer with improved access for cleaning. We responded to this request with a completely new design which offers more standard customer requested features than any competitive dryer on the market today" continued Tuttle. The new cylindrical, removable dryer doors open providing 285° access inside the dryer. Rotor bearings have been designed for improved reliability and accessibility. Moist air extraction and sound abatement are all standard features. Dynisco, LLC is a worldwide leader providing pressure and temperature sensors and instruments for plastics processing and other industrial applications; polymer test systems for labo-atory and in-process measurement; and gear pumps, screen changers, pelletizers, cleaning ovens and other auxiliary equipment for the plastics and process industries under the Dynisco and Beringer brand names.
