Pelican(TM) 0350 Cube Case Wins Industrial/Military Design Excellence Award
TORRANCE, CA - May 26, 2006 - The tough-as-nails 0350 Cube Case by Pelican(TM) Products, a leading manufacturer of high-impact, watertight Protector(TM) Cases, has been awarded the Industrial/Military Design Excellence Award by the Society of the Plastics Industry and Design News Magazine.

The Industrial/Military award is given to the product that is the most unique and creative application of plastic which includes design, tooling, materials, finishing and markets. The overall use of the entry, including the look and manufacturing quality, is also factored into the judging.
The 0350 Cube Case boasts a fully stackable, trademarked "Dual Band" design, nearly 11,000 cubic inches of possible storage space and a cell-core construction that helps it protect sensitive equipment from some of the harshest conditions on Earth. To ensure easy and immediate access, most cases feature double-throw latches that have been tested to a failure threshold of nearly 400 pounds, but open with a light pull. Stainless steel reinforced padlock protector holes are also featured for added security.
Additional standard features include a lid equipped with a polymer o-ring for a dust and waterproof seal, and an automatic Gore-TEX® pressure equalization valve, that stops moisture from entering the case and prevents vacuum-lock so the case opens easily at any altitude. Three levels of proprietary customizable Pick 'N' Pluck(TM) foam are also included.
