Pelican Products and Analox Team Up to Keep Industrial Divers Safe

TORRANCE, CA -¬ April 10, 2006- Pelican(TM) Products' high-impact, watertight Protector(TM) Cases have been engineered as a shock-absorbing chassis for the Analox Hyper-Gas MKII(TM) hyperbaric hydrocarbon monitor and the ATA Trimix Analyzer.

Analox modified the stock Pelican Protector Cases to house their analyzers and instruments.

"Analox is one of the leading companies in their field and we are pleased to be providing a tough equipment protection solution for this potentially life saving product," said Mark Rolfes, Pelican's Vice President of Sales.

"Lives are at stake at extreme depths, so when supporting those who work down there, the tools involved need to be as reliable as possible, " said Vicky Brown - Sales and Marketing Director of Analox. "While developing our products, we wanted to give it the toughest exterior around. The cases have to be tough and resilient, Pelican cases offer this."

o The cell-core wall construction of Pelican Protector Cases protects sensitive equipment from some of the most extreme conditions on Earth. Making a perfect electronic chassis, special stops are molded into the case walls to accommodate panel frames and interface panels. Additional standard features include a lid equipped with a polymer o-ring for a dust/watertight seal, and a pressure-balancing, moisture stopping, automatic Gore-Tex® purge valve. To ensure easy and immediate access, most cases in the line feature double-throw latches that have been tested to a failure threshold of nearly 400 pounds, but open with a light pull. Of course, Pelican Protector Cases can be spotted by their distinctive, trademarked "Dual Band" design.

o The Analox Hyper-Gas MKII(TM) is an extremely accurate analyzer mounted inside dive bells, engineered to detect and warn divers of potentially fatal anesthetic hydrocarbon levels in their atmosphere. Where divers are working on dirty sites, there is a high likelihood for contamination of dive bell atmospheres from crude and condensate contamination on dive suits or umbilical lines. Vaporization of hydrocarbons in the bell can occur within seconds and rapidly rise to a life-threatening, anesthetic concentration.

o The Analox ATA Trimix is the only true mix analyzer available that offers accurate helium, oxygen and balanced gas readings, so divers can dive safely. Built inside a compact, tough and watertight, Pelican 1050 Micro Case chassis, the analyzer boasts an oxygen sensor engineered for a five year lifespan and a helium sensor with an anticipated 10 year lifespan. Additional ATA Trimix features include a highly visible back-lit screen, a 15 minute auto-shut-off function, and an extremely long battery run-time of up to two hundred hours (analysis of approximately 1500 tanks) on a single D-cell battery.

As with all Pelican products, their cases are backed by a Legendary Lifetime Guarantee of Excellence: "You break it, we replace it...forever."(TM)
